Visa Bulletin for March 2008

The State Department's Visa Bulletin for March 2008 showed significant improvement for some employment-based workers. For the third preference category for skilled workers and professionals, the numbers jumped to 01 January 2005 from 01 November 2002. For the Chinese nationals second preference category (advanced degree holders) they was a jump from 01 January 2003 to 01 December 2003 and the third preference category moved from 01 October 2001 to 01 January 2002. There were only minor changes to the numbers for the family preference categories. The visa bulletin can be seen on the U.S. Department of State's website www.travel.state.gov. Each month the bulletin summarizes the availability of immigrant numbers.
