Errors on Employment Authorization Documents/Work Cards

The Vermont Service Center for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service has reported a clerical error on approximately 3,500 Employment Authorization Documents (EAD). The cards that were produced on 12/16/2008 gave an end validity date of 2/5/2010 instead of 7/5/2010, and cards produced on 12/31/2008 gave an end validity date of 1/5/2010 instead of 7/5/2010. Those who are affected will receive a letter within the next two weeks advising them of their next steps.
