Electronic Case Status Inquiry to Begin at USCISAug 4, 2010
The USCIS announced the start of new web features to provide customers expanded access to their case status information. Customers will be able to submit an electronic inquiry directly to a USCIS Field Office or a Service Center to request case status information on Form I-90 (Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card) or Form N-400 (Application for Naturalization). Additionally, the USCIS commits to a 15-day customer response, reduced from the previous commitment to respond within 30 days. Customers can also receive emails in Spanish and change their address online in Spanish. The electronic inquiry will hopefully replace the need for customers to go to their field office in person to make inquiries. See attached press release.
