PERM Statistics

Here is a summary of statistics provided by the US Department of Labor to the American Immigration Lawyers Association concerning PERM applications. The information indicated is all as of March 17, 2006.

The number of case filed between March 28, 2005 through March 17, 2006: 80,272 (about 15 percent of cases are in a "pending workload" requiring an analyst's attention).

Number of cases certified to date: 36,687

Number of cases withdraw to date: 1,950

Number of cases denied to date: 23,205 (includes denials for minor errors, necessitating a flow around which means the number is not really definitive)

Number of audits to date: 24,960
