DOL RIR Conversion UpdateApr 2, 2007 The Department of Labor's (DOL) Backlog Elimination Center (BECs) have the list of cases for which employers/attorneys state they submitted RIR conversion request emails but have not received any type of response. This list is now closed. The BECs will pursue each case and provide the employer/attorney with the appropriate information/instructions to continue the case. This may include proof that an original email was sent to the BEC within the "Hold Harmless" window. Cases included on this list will not have any adverse impact taken during the investigation period. In situtions where additional time is necessary for the employer to take actions, the BEC will provide the required date for a response. All RIR conversion requests may not be granted. In those situations the case will continue to be processed as a Traditional (TR) case. For all other RIR conversion requests that did receive an email response with a prevailing wage from the BEC, the recruitment reports should be postmarked no later than April 1, 2007. This report was taken from AILA InfoNet Doc. No. 07033010 posted March 30, 2007. |
